Pop Art

1. What kind of colors does Warhol use in his own portraits
(colors next to, opposite on the color wheel)?

Warhol seems to use colors that are opposite from each other on the color wheel. Also it seems when he uses a color across from another he uses colors next to it as well. For example, if he would to use green for a face then he would also use red, oranges , and yellows.

2. There are a lot of color variations in Warhol portraits,
how have you created a variety in your own work?

I attempted not to repeat colors very often so I would used a variety of different shades of many different colors.

3. Resolution can alter a final image, how does working big to small influence the final outcome?
Always work from big to small, never from small too big. The pixels in the picture stretch and it changes the look of the photo.

4. There are many approaches to Pop Art using Photoshop, find a tutorial online and state how your process is difference or the same from your own approach?

In the tutorial I read online, they some of the same techniques. However, some of the techniques were different. They used the pen tool instead of the magic wand tool. The tutorial also desaturated the photo first instead of adjusting the contrast the changing the threshold. They also ended up using the cutout filter.

5. Compare your work to the work of Warhol in terms of color, line, and shape. Does the format you follow create a successful Pop Art work? What improvements must be made?
My work compared to Warhol’s work is similar but also different. I liked to use colors that compliment and look good with each other. Most of my pop art photos look the same just different colors as well.
